Families and Couples

My therapeutic training is specifically designed to work at the family system level. I view issues not as individual problems, but challenges in the family dynamics. Whether the primary issue is with a young child, a teenager, or a parent, I view all problems from an “entire family” point of view. Emotions don’t exist in a vacuum. Sadness, anger, and resentment are common feelings we all have, and they stem from relationships we are in. I work with entire families to improve communication patterns and emotional dynamics to help not only individuals, but entire families.

In working with couples, many issues can arise. Frequent arguments, infidelity, and life stresses from finances or parenting are common challenges that couples can face, and often need assistance resolving. I have experience working with married couples, divorcing couples, co-parents, and gay and lesbian couples in resolving partner conflict.
